The '''dappled forest''' is a woodland [[Minecraft:biome]] consisting of [[Minecraft:poplar]] trees with red, orange, and yellow leaves, on an orange-brown grass and [[Minecraft:coarse dirt]] soil covered by [[Minecraft:leaf litter]], [[Minecraft:red shrub]]s, and [[Minecraft:brown mushroom]]s.

== Generation ==
Dappled forests have been seen bordering [[Minecraft:forest]]s and [[Minecraft:plain]]s, separated by rivers.

== Description ==
It is a cold biome and consists of [[Minecraft:poplar tree]]s and [[Minecraft:red shrub]]s, of which the former is prevalent enough to cover the majority of the terrain from the sky. The biome's grass color is a saturated orange. Fallen poplar trees are more common than any other type of fallen trees, featuring [[Minecraft:shelf mushroom]]s on them.

Other terrain blocks like [[Minecraft:coarse dirt]], [[Minecraft:brown mushroom]]s, and [[Minecraft:leaf litter]] generate as part of the surface of dappled forests. [[Minecraft:Spruce]] trees generate very sparsely between the poplar forest.
