The machine, through unknown methods, is capable of converting organic matter into [[Minecraft:characters]] from {{MC}}, sending them into a manifestation of the game. At an unknown point in time, [[Minecraft:Mojang Studios]] began developing the technology within their [[Minecraft:Mojang Studios Secret Headquarters|secret headquarters]]. For whatever reason, [[Minecraft:Jens Bergensten]] began using it to wash his socks, which became such a rampant problem for its engineers that they placed a note to tell him to stop.

In order to send [[Minecraft:Narrator (YouTube)|Narrator]] on a field assignment for an episode of [[Minecraft:How We Make Minecraft|his show]], he was allowed usage of the machine. Through this, he emerged on the border between a [[Minecraft:taiga]] and [[Minecraft:plains]], where he would be trapped for many years. <ref name=":0" />
