If it is broken with your fist or tools enchanted with Silk Touch the pot itself will drop.

Pottery sherds can be found as [[Minecraft:suspicious sand]] or [[Minecraft:suspicious gravel]] loot in [[Minecraft:trail ruins]], [[Minecraft:ocean ruins]], [[Minecraft:desert pyramid]]s, and [[Minecraft:desert well]]s, and can be extracted from these blocks using a [[Minecraft:brush]].
