The concept behind the store is far from new. ==Development==
Casaba Outlet was added in patch [[StarCitizen:Star Citizen Alpha 2.0.0|2.0]] on [[StarCitizen:Area18]] (social module) that could be accessed from the game's main menu. It was then the only place where players could spend their [[StarCitizen:Alpha UEC|aUEC]] with many different pieces of clothing. In patch [[StarCitizen:Star Citizen Alpha 3.0.0|3.0]] [[StarCitizen:Area18]]'s menu option was removed and Casaba (in a different form) moved to [[StarCitizen:Port Olisar]] instead. Patch [[StarCitizen:Star Citizen Alpha 3.5.0|3.5]] introduced [[StarCitizen:Area18]] back into the [[StarCitizen:Persistent Universe]], which brought Casaba Outlet back to its original location.
