The first bucket on Gielinor was created by Mrs{{sic|no full stop}} Hyacinth, to help her around the farm. They had buckets back on the human homeworld of Teragard, of course, but she hadn’t brought anything with her from the village Guthix had recruited her from.<br />
<br />
The problem was that Mrs Hyacinth had a cow, named the traditional Bessie, that produced an unreasonable amount of manure, and Mrs Hyacinth needed something to help with the clear up{{sic|misspelled cleanup}}.<br />
<br />
She used local twigs, at first, weaving together more of a basket than a bucket, and the results were not as watertight as she had hoped. In the end, she meticulously combined strips of wood, tied together with cord, and they were able to withstand even the worst of Bessie’s endeavours.<br />
<br />
Now, you too can fill one of these marvelous contraptions with horrifically pungent compost. Spread the smelly stuff across your farming plots and marvel at the health and happiness of your leafy little friends.<br />
