Viika was never fond of creating dragons, they thought the process was cruel and unbecoming. When an egg was laid, Viika saw in that moment both the egg and the dragon it would become. They saw past and presence{{sic|supposed to be present}} at the same time, and they grieved the creature before it had even hatched.<br />

They pleaded with their sibling, and with the other Dragonkin, to change their treatment of the beasts. But Viika’s curse, like so many Seers, was to be ignored by their kindred.<br />
<br />
A rare egg hatched once, containing a dragon with white scales like pearls. The dragon was infused with magic and possessing{{sic|supposed to be possessed}} a power capable of travelling to other worlds, where she might have lived a happier life. But Viika wept, for they knew she would manage no such ending.<br />
<br />
Viika kept the hatchling company. Treated them like their dearest friend, and held them softly when Lacrussa’s need for knowledge, took the dragon’s last breath.<br />
<br />
The Seer kept only a single keepsake – a blade carved from the tooth of their white-scaled friend. A dagger capable of terrible damage, but as fragile as the friendship that it reminded them of.<br />
