Stone remembers, wood forgets, iron holds a grudge. So goes the Imcamdo saying. A reference to how much stronger metal weapons were than wood and stone. Still, with magic, this adage can become painfully true.<br />

The first enchanted iron bolts on Ashenfall were crafted by Lina Hesperian, one of the Amalgamated. She had hair that flowered{{sic|makes more sense to have "flowed like a waterfall"}} like a waterfall down her spine. Her eyes were crystalline lakes, sparkling in the light, and her smile was as refreshing as any spring. She enchanted the bolts so that they might carry the gift of water, washing away infection for a clean and gentle kill. She made them for the hunters, so that they might claim their quarries with as little suffering as possible.<br />

She met the end that far too many Amalgamated suffered. Alone, frightened, in the cold and the dark of an alley, her blood seeping from the knife wound in her chest. As she gave her last breath, she cursed the world for it’s cruelty, and the iron listened.<br />

Now, each enchanted iron bolt taps into that grudge, inflicting a reminder of her suffering on any that feel the bolt’s sting.<br />
