In the lore scrap, the author (whose name is unknown), the driver of the unknown vehicle, Eva, and [[Dragonwilds:Eric]] were escaping from presumably the [[Dragonwilds:Garou]] since they were travelling near the [[Dragonwilds:Fractured Plains]] at night. The author caught a glimpse of yellow eyes in the distance after Eva instinctively cast flames into the woods. From the light of the fire Eva cast from her staff, they saw them as &quot;wolves that walk on two legs&quot;. Unfortunately, the presumed Garou caught Eva after killing the driver first, killing her on the spot. However, they left the author to run for their life.{{CiteJournal|journal=Torn Journal Page|quote=Eva grabbed her staff and prepared to unleash a torrent of flame on our attackers, but a crack of thunder sent us sprawling across the forest floor. They charged, sweeping out of the forests like shadows with teeth. Like wolves that walk on two legs, almost human in their stance, but in the short-lived embers of Eva’s magic, I saw no sign of humanity – only malice. They ran at us with saliva dripping from elongated fangs and claws that glinted unpleasantly in the moonlight. I felled two of them with my arrows before they caught up to Eva and turned the evening’s rain a horrible shade of scarlet. I ran, and they let me escape. They’re toying with me.
