I didn’t believe it until they turned in their weapons. There was this great pile of them outside the village, built up into a pyre and then set to the flame.<br /> <br /> We danced as they burned, it was beautiful. I drank with a few of them and… well… I don’t remember much of the evening anymore. Just hazy moments of laughter and stories, nothing more than that.<br /> <br /> Now I bring Golbor and Klom baskets of pumpkins and in exchange they help me plough the fields before we can sow the soil anew. Good people.
