Gyrhawk Postal Services were popular in happier times around Brynmoor, while the Gyrhawk Swimmers were the ones to beat in swimming galas.

			Perhaps the most common use of an Ashenfall Gyrhawk's form was on medals and amulets, given to the winners of athletic competitions. Gilded gyrhawk amulets were given for first place, while second and third received ungilded. The amulets weren't worn in the heats themselves - that would be decidedly unfair, since they give performance benefits - but seeing a gyrhawk amulet around someone's neck was a good indicator that they were the athletic type.
