[[Dragonwilds:Bandos]] was also a fan of the aesthetic. While he favoured the sheer brutality of the [[Dragonwilds:rsw:Kyzaj|Kyzaj]], he chose to wield a Great Axe against [[Dragonwilds:Velgar]]. He stormed [[Dragonwilds:Velgar's Rise|Brakka’s Folly]], Great Axe in hand, and challenged the dragon to single combat. A god versus a dragon, the outcome felt obvious. Yet it did not play out as Bandos expected.

It should have been easy. Yet Velgar’s stone-touched flesh turned away Bandos' blows, and his poisonous breath leeched Bandos’ strength. Bandos cut a great scar down Velgar’s side, yet it was not, and the counterattack sent Bandos reeling.

He never surrendered, but there was no victory for the big high war god. He sounded a tactical retreat, seeking a better strategy – far, far away.
