The desire for iron in the village of [[Dragonwilds:Bramblemead]] was so strong that they exhausted all the iron deposits in [[Dragonwilds:Brynmoor]]. [[Dragonwilds:The Wild Knights]] cautioned them to look for more sustainable methods. Still, the villagers had become too accustomed to the luxury of iron.

Militia groups began to form to search [[Dragonwilds:Ghornfell]] for the precious metal ore. They marched in large groups, crushing plants beneath their metal heels and destroying whole areas of woodland in search of iron ore.

Their noise and bluster drew the ire of roving [[Dragonwilds:Garou (race)|Garou]], who saw the invasion of their forests as a violation of their treaties.
