In one desperate moment, after the Dreaming Stone was shattered, Putrilius was forced to possess a maple tree. It wasn't an experience she enjoyed. Most curiously, she found themselves aligning to the maple's inner cadence. Everything slowed. Putrilius barely registered a thought in two years.<br />

What woke Putrilius was a logging axe. Their maple body was toppled and then fletched into an armature. For a moment, as Putrilius's life faded from the wood, she was a shortbow.<br />
