A mithril crossbow is the standard issue for any modern Black Knight. If you showed capability, then you might be promoted to Black Knight Sniper, and that came with the Black Sniper Crossbow. But for the average Black Knight, the crossbow was a long-kept friend.<br />

The crossbow's main purpose was to stop demons in their tracks. The Zamorakian magi claimed to keep their demon hordes under control, but demons tested that claim.<br />

The crossbow had other uses. Remove the bolt, rest the crossbow on the floor stock-upwards, and you had a stool. Sit on the floor and it was a headrest.<br />

You could also waste time shooting ravens. Shooting the red, glowing ravens was an immediate dismissal, however. Alric demanded they were protected, for reasons that he never expanded on.<br />
