The Moon Garou aren't particularly hot on pies. They like their dishes open and aromatic, engulfing all of the senses. A pie is the anti-garou dish: it disguises itself until its pastry is broken, and only then do you get that delicious waft of smells. It's a culinary jack-in-the-box.

Which is a shame, as I think the Moon Garou are really missing a trick. The ripe smell of a desert sole is particularly suited to pies, as it ambushes the eater when they break the seal. That's where the 'swabby' comes in, as eaters will often have to wipe their eyes from the olfactory assault.
