There are several wardstones that can be obtained, in increasing potency:&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Soulscourge is explained in the lore as damage to the soul: &amp;quot;When the stone is broken, it activates the rune essence and draws anima in from the nearest pure source – the soul of the user.&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;
