Runes were ground down and mixed with plant oils to create a special resin that allowed the [[Dragonwilds:Wild Knights]] to work their magic through the bow, as if they were carrying runes. That magic has faded and the recipe for the mixture is lost to the ages, but these bows are still formidable in their own right.<br />

Deer with hides that glistened with starlight, sheep with silver fleeces repelled all arrows.
