Though he is often viewed as evil by other religions, he thinks of himself as a champion of self-liberation and personal growth via chaos and conflict. During the conflicts in the Dragonwilds:Third Age, some Garou were captured by Zamorakian forces and subjected to vampyric experiments. These experiments created werewolves, leaving Vannaka to search for his ancestors.{{CiteText|text=Dog Days|quote=My ancesters... the werewolves. The Dragonwilds:Children of Shadows were formed and carried attack potions, as well as wielding Dragonwilds:iron daggers and Dragonwilds:leather shields. They rarely harmed anyone, but would decorate their shields for intimidation, carve demonic pacts into their daggers, and add a drop of their own blood into those daggers whilst forging them. In addition, they would brew large amounts of attack potions as a means to gain an advantage if they were discovered. This was because the Children of Shadows lacked the combat skills, insufficient against trained guards.
{{journal entry|
The god of chaos, Zamorak, is often associated with evil. In truth, it is more complicated than this, as Zamorak promotes freedom and self-improvement, rather than relying on tradition. Needless to say, he and Dragonwilds:Saradomin have been in conflict across the ages.

Zamorak is one of the Mahjarrat, the mysterious creatures from the world of Freneskae. He was recruited to serve under the Empty Lord, Zaros, but he found Zaros' methods too hands-off for his tastes. Using two of the Elder Artefacts, Zamorak betrayed Zaros and drained him of enough of his power to allow Zamorak to ascend.

Zaros, presumed defeated, disappeared into the void where he might rebuild his strength.

News of his usurpation of Zaros is what began the God Wars, the greatest and bloodiest battle in Dragonwilds:Gielinor's history. An alliance of Dragonwilds:Saradomin, Dragonwilds:Bandos and Dragonwilds:Armadyl, pushed Zamorak to the brink and caused him to destroy the entire region of Forinthry in a last desperate ploy. This act awoke Dragonwilds:Guthix from his slumber, and caused him to enact the Edicts that would banish the gods.

Zamorak has tried repeatedly to reclaim Gielinor, using the legions of demons at his beck and call. He has been pushed back by alliances of heroes, yet is always scheming to return and finish what he started.
