The Before Times consisted of several centuries, so many that the Before Times' beginning "can't be counted". At some point, humans emerged in the Minecraft:Overworld, lacking any inherent resources. As they scavenged and created, they came into conflict with several hostile mobs, such as Minecraft:zombies, Minecraft:slimes, Minecraft:creepers, and Minecraft:endermen.

Aftermath
At an unknown time, many humans came together and created Minecraft:the City, a solution to many of the problems faced during the Before Times. In the centuries that followed, their original struggles became a distant memory, with many in doubt they ever had to deal with such hurdles. Many children became fascinated by these stories, some trying to read up on them at the City library, others pretending they were alive at the time.

Current portrayal
As of the time of the plot, the Before Times is represented mostly by books and scary stories. These stories emphasize the aspect of danger, with the Minecraft:Overworld being presented as terrifying. Depictions of the Before Times have a focus on hostile mobs, particularly zombies.

There is an attraction in the City called the Before Times Experience. It is an arena underneath a mansion designed to emulate the Before Times. It features fake depictions of zombies, usually in the form of people wearing costumes. It is popular among young children.
Quotes
Trivia
