Frozen Lands, also known as Frozen Planet II: Frozen Lands, is a lesson in Minecraft:Minecraft Education and a free Minecraft:Marketplace map in BE. As part of the Frozen Planet II lesson series, the map was inspired by BBC Earth's documentary series Frozen Planet II, and is made to raise awareness on endangered species in non-polar cold regions.

Summary
The player starts the map in a smalm blue room with a white ceiling and corners and a door leading to a dark hall.

Amur leopard
The hallway teleports the player to the "far east of Siberia", what looks like a Minecraft:snowy taiga with a Minecraft:river frozen from the sides. The narrator describes how the tundra is the Amur leopard's last habitat and they are near extinction. Playing the role of a leopard, the player must find pieces of meat to refill their hunger bar. Crows indicate the location of meat by flying over them, but it can despawn after 10 seconds after losing scent of it. Hidden bear traps are scattered across the path, which the player must avoid and can reveal temporarily using their "keen senses". To complete the minigame, the player has to complete three rounds by gathering meat: one piece for the first round, three for the second, and for five the third. If the player fails by starving or falling into a trap, they are teleported back to the starting point at their current round with their meat count reset.

Lapland bumblebee
After finishing the leopard minigame, a cutscene plays in a tundra during spring where vegetation fills the landscape. A queen Lapland bumblebee living in a burrow awakens from her slumber as the rest of her colony froze to death during winter, and must repopulate by keeping watch over her eggs. The minigame consists of gathering 20 units of nectar from a field of oversized flowers in a matter of three minutes while keeping the eggs in their home burrow warm and their hunger bar full. Flowers available to gather nectar from have yellow particles over them. To warm the eggs up, they can interact with them if their temperature bar is low. If their eggs freeze over or they starve to death, the entire minigame is reset. The player can only win if enough nectar has been gathered, the eggs are warm, and time runs out, after which the eggs hatch and baby bees fly out of the burrow.

Research base
The player is then teleported to a research base on the border between the snowy and vegetated sides of the tundra, equipped with a camera and a journal. Their task is to take photos of an erosion on a river, a Siberian tiger, and an Amur leopard's footprints. To get the photo of the leopard itself, the player needs to place a field camera and wait a distance away as Amur leopards are known for their difficulty to observe. After gathering all four photos, they have to give them to the researcher, who gives the fact that climate change is increasing, threatening tundra animals from both the change and deforestation. They are known for being unhappy and only gains hope after seeing the animals back, providing environmental tips to reduce climate change. The map then darkens into a black background with the key artwork, before shifting back to end credits on a tundra background.
