In 1889, {{w|Fusajiro Yamauchi}} created a company called Nintendo to make {{w|Hanafuda|''Hanafuda'' cards}}. Later in 1977, {{w|Hiroshi Yamautchi}} turned Nintendo into a {{w|video game industry|video game company}}.
* In 2015, Nintendo teamed up with [[Minecraft:Mojang]] and [[Minecraft:4J Studios]] to create the ''[[Minecraft:Wii U Edition]]'' of ''Minecraft''.
* In September of 2017, Nintendo, Mojang and [[Minecraft:Other Ocean Interactive]] created the ''[[Minecraft:New Nintendo 3DS Edition]]'' of ''Minecraft'', 2 months after the discontinuation of the {{w|New Nintendo 3DS}}.
