The '''wildfire''', originally known as '''Mob D''' or the "'''Hovering Inferno'''", was a proposed [[Minecraft:mob]] featured in the [[Minecraft:2017 Mob Vote|Mob Vote]] during ''[[Minecraft:MINECON Earth 2017]]'', alongside the [[Minecraft:barnacle]], the [[Minecraft:phantom]] and the [[Minecraft:great hunger]].<ref>{{mcnet|announcing-minecon-earth|Announcing... It was a type of [[Minecraft:blaze]] with its body parts looking like [[Minecraft:shield]]s in order to defend itself from attacks. This mob would spawn with groups of blazes randomly to attack the player in the [[Minecraft:Nether]] with a dangerous shock wave attack.
