The Bremen Defense Force was created under the governorship of [[StarCitizen:Arcturus Koerner]], acting on a proposal by [[StarCitizen:Philippe Lattimore]] to cover a security vacuum left by the [[StarCitizen:Second Tevarin War]]. It proved itself to be an effective crime deterrent up until the grain market crash of 2640, when the loss of revenue risked the financing of the militia.
