Marie Sante was a StarCitizen:NavJumper famous for discovering the StarCitizen:Horus system in 2528.

Marie was born on Gonn (Oberon III) in SEY StarCitizen:2504. As the oldest of seven children it was often her responsibility to care for her siblings while her parents worked in the carbon mines. Marie at age 14 left her family on Gonn allegedly by stealing a ship. No further records of her exist until her reappearance to register the unknown system to the StarCitizen:United Planets of Earth a decade later in 2528, naming the system after her ship.

Due to the detailed charts she provided the UPE, its assumed that Marie spent several years documenting the system before disclosing its existence. Her meticulous exploration of the system would lead to the unfortunate discovery of the StarCitizen:Horus - R.il'a StarCitizen:Jump point into StarCitizen:Xi'an space in 2542. Resulting in the systems addition into the StarCitizen:Perry Line, and closure to non-military personnel, including Marie.

Deciding to disobey the order, Marie hid in the outer reaches of the system until a UPE Navy pilot detected an "unauthorised signature". Expecting a Xi'an offensive, a battle group mobilized to meet the imaginary threat. On the realisation it was Sante who caused the false alarm the military prioritised pushing her out of the system.

In 2545 Marie and her ship disappeared, the final entry from her journal recovered from an info beacon was dated 2545-01-10. To this day Santes' fate remains unsolved, some believe Marie successfully spent her remaining days in Horus. Explorers and tourists have eagerly tried to uncover the mystery ever since, while the subject remains popular for stories and documentaries on Serling (Horus I).
