He got a job writing software at the age of 17 writing music and sound-effects for the BBC machine for a company run by the &amp;quot;Micro User&amp;quot; magazine company.&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;:2&amp;quot; /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

In 1984, he wrote the music for a game a friend of his wrote.This game later was published by Ocean. They were very impressed by his work, so they loaned him a C64, a datasette, and an assembler and said: &amp;quot;Let&amp;#039;s see what your able to do...&amp;quot;.&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;:1&amp;quot;&amp;gt;Happy Computer issue 11/86&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

In February of 1985 he signed a contract as a programmer at Ocean Software,&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;:1&amp;quot; /&amp;gt; which he eventually quit due to the lack of help while had 5 games ahead of him sometimes.&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;:2&amp;quot; /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

He came to Austin in 1988 as a contractor, to help develop [[StarCitizen:Times of Lore|&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Times of Lore&amp;#039;&amp;#039;]], for which he also got involved in game programming again.&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;:2&amp;quot; /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

In 1990 he returned permanently to work as [[StarCitizen:Origin Systems]] Audio Director, where he was less involved with music than he used to be due to qualified members such for example [[StarCitizen:George Oldziey]].  He became more involved with dialogue, which hadn&amp;#039;t existed in the 80&amp;#039;s. From scriptwriting, to directing actors, to editing the dialogue later and processing it to get a good clear sound in the game.&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;:2&amp;quot; /&amp;gt; &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He joined [[StarCitizen:Digital Anvil]] shortly after it was founded in 1996 and was responsible for the audio on all of their games.&lt;br /&gt;

He has an on-screen screen credit in the [[StarCitizen:Wing Commander (movie)|Wing Commander movie]]. &lt;br /&gt;
