See https://minecraft.wiki/?title=Chicken&diff=2689570&oldid=2688426. Xbox One Edition already got it in TU54. It may be possible that only PS4 was left out with this feature in TU54, similar to spawn egg max stack size increase from TU60 but that is just speculation.
