Template:For Template:Infobox block
A bush is a non-solid Minecraft:plant block found in many grassy Minecraft:biomes. Its color is biome-dependent, and matches the color of Minecraft:grass blocks.
Obtaining
Breaking
Attempting to mine a bush with or without any Minecraft:tool will instantly destroy it, but breaking the bush with Minecraft:shears or any item with Minecraft:Silk Touch is required for the bush to actually drop as an item. Template:Breaking row
Natural generation
Small patches of bushes naturally generate in Minecraft:birch forests, Minecraft:forests, Minecraft:plains, Minecraft:windswept hills, and their variants, and on the shores of Minecraft:rivers and Minecraft:frozen rivers.
Post-generation
Using bone meal on a bush attempts to grow another bush on a neighboring block.
Usage
Placement
Bushes mainly serve as atmospheric decoration and can be placed on any of the following blocks:Template:Columns-list
Bushes cannot be placed inside Minecraft:flower pots.
Template:IN, bushes can be Minecraft:snowlogged.
Composting
Placing a bush into a Minecraft:composter has a 30 % chance of raising the compost level by 1, yielding an average of 2.74 bone meal per stack.
Color
The coloration of bushes is dependent on the Minecraft:biome they are in. A block always uses the color set to its location, regardless of how it was placed or of its source.
These values are generated by the biome dyeing algorithm, which depends on the biome's temperature and downfall. See Minecraft:biome colors for more information.
