Game package (or ship package) is a pledge package needed to play the game, containing the Star Citizen game digital download, a ship and some credits, among some other non-necessities.<ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref> The most basic starter ship included is the StarCitizen:Aurora Mk II although variants with said vehicle exchanged for a StarCitizen:Cutter, StarCitizen:Golem, StarCitizen:Salvation, Avenger, Cutlass or others do exist.
Early backers had access to standard packages which included a copy of Squadron 42 as well as a digital copy of the original soundtrack. Ships acquired separately are referred to as StarCitizen:standalone ships.
