Template:UnobtainableTemplate:Removed feature Template:Infobox biome The giant tree taiga hills or mega taiga hills biome is a hills variant of the giant tree taiga that no longer generates since Minecraft:Caves & Cliffs: Part II, and has been removed in Java Edition.

Description

Old

Like all other hills biomes, giant tree taiga hills featured elevated, hillier terrain compared to the tegular Template:Abbr, making the landscape less suitable for shelter. In any other aspect, the giant tree taiga hills generated the same way as the regular giant tree taiga. Podzol, coarse dirt, and rocks all generated on the hills. Wolves, foxes and rabbitsTemplate:Only spawned here.

Current

Template:IN, giant tree taiga hills in older worlds still received updates. When generated through Minecraft:single biome or Minecraft:behavior packs, they can also generate new blocks.

The appear similar to the regular old growth pine taiga. Cold Minecraft:animal variants spawn as well as black Minecraft:wolf variants. The Minecraft:snowfall height is increased to Y=200±8, covering only the highest mountain peaks in Minecraft:snow. Unlike in regular old growth pine taigas, Minecraft:trail ruins do not generate. No old growth taiga Minecraft:music tracks play, which is different from the Minecraft:giant spruce taiga hills.

With Minecraft:Vibrant Visuals, giant tree taiga hills use a coolish humid volumetric fog setting, which slightly fades the distance in an orange tint. Giant tree taiga hills have coolish color grading tints the environment with a colder blue color, and cold sunlight which appears slightly brighter at dusk and dawn.

Mobs

Giant tree taiga hills use the same mob spawning chances as old growth pine taigas.

The following mobs naturally spawn here:
