18w11a is the twenty-eighth Minecraft:snapshot for Minecraft:Java Edition 1.13, released on March 13, 2018,<ref>Template:Snap</ref> which added Minecraft:drowned and Minecraft:shipwrecks.

Spawn in all oceans and rivers.
Minecraft:Zombies morph into drowned after a while if they are in the water.
Drowned can spawn with Minecraft:tridents, allowing players to get them in Survival.
Do not float, but can swim.
All drowned have a melee attack, and ones with tridents have a ranged attack.
Like zombies, drowned attack baby Minecraft:turtles and stomp on and destroy Minecraft:turtle eggs.

Can be found in oceans and beaches.
Contain 1–3 loot chests containing different types of loot depending on the ship.
Can generate upright, sideways, or upside down.

Controls

Template:Keys+Template:Keys now copies the player's current location to clipboard.

Unlike most of the first-of-the-week snapshots, this was released on a Tuesday instead of a Wednesday.
18w11a was released exactly 5 years after the Minecraft:Redstone Update.
