A tractor beam is a device that can attract one object to another from a distance when Collimated Beam projects a force field into the target object. It is employed to securing or retrieving StarCitizen:cargo, passengers, shuttlecraft, etc.; as a means of preventing an enemy from escaping, analogous to grappling hooks and as a device to harness objects that can then be used as impromptu weapons.
