Minecraft:Java Edition Alpha v1.0.5 01

Alpha v1.0.5_01 is a version of Minecraft:Java Edition Alpha, released on July 14, 2010<ref>Template:TWON</ref> that made changes to snow introduced in Minecraft:Alpha v1.0.5. This version is available in the launcher.

Changes

Blocks

Minecraft:Snow block and Minecraft:snow layer

• Now require to be mined using a Minecraft:shovel in order to drop Minecraft:snowballs.

Minecraft:Water

• Freezes into Minecraft:ice again.

Items

Minecraft:Snowballs

• Now stack up to 8 instead of 64.
• Changed the volume and pitch of the sound effect for throwing them.

Gameplay

Minecraft:Multiplayer

• Improved some aspects (although multiplayer is still in private testing).
  • Minecraft:Blocks can now be broken.
  • Added movement verification.
  • It is now impossible for the client to claim to mine a block they cannot.
  • It is now impossible for the client to mine blocks too fast.
  • It is now impossible to move through Minecraft:solid blocks.

Fixes

2 bugs fixed

• Minecraft:Stone and stone-like blocks now drop material on a Minecraft:pickaxe's last hit.
• Snow blocks on top of snow layers no longer make the top side disappear.
