Dragonwilds:Brink of Extinction

Template:ExternalTemplate:Infobox QuestBrink Of Extinction is a secondary quest within the Dragonwilds:Umbral Sands. Players must speak with Dragonwilds:KotHaar-Hok-Zi in order to start the quest.

Walkthrough

Getting Started

Speak to Zi in Umbral Sands to start this quest. KotHaar-Zi is located in The Burning Spire, directly south-east of Sinking Pyramid on an 'L-shaped' island.

Protection from Scorch

KotHaar-Zi will inform you that their body was not made to survive Scorch and asks for assistance with adapting. They ask you to bring them 3 Dragonwilds:Raw Beltfish and 1 Dragonwilds:Cactus Steak.

"THE GAUNTLET OF FIRE!"

After returning to KotHaar-Zi, they will tell you about four pedestals, scattered around the Burning Spire area - giant black blocks with fire on top. They ask you to touch all four of them in any order and then return to KotHarr-Zi. A blue circle will be added to your map, showing the area the four pedestals are located at.

• Pillar 1: Located east of the Sunken Pyramid, on top of a large rock structure.
• Pillar 2: Located north of the Sunken Pyramid, behind KotHaar-Zi.
• Pillar 3: Located west of the Sunken Pyramid.
• Pillar 4: Located south of the Sunken Pyramid, south-west from KotHaar-Zi.

After interacting with all four pillars, return to KotHaar-Zi.

Cave of Screams

After talking to KotHaar-Zi, they will tell you they are heading to the Dragonwilds:Cave of Screams, which is located west of the Sunken Pyramid. At the entrance to the Cave of Screams, there will be a bouncer who will ask for a password.

Make your way to the Cave of Screams entrance, located in the top-left corner of The Burning Spire, directly right of the tree icon found on the map.

Talk to the Dragonwilds:KotHaar Bouncer. Pick any of the three dialogue options - it doesn't matter which you choose. After picking the third dialogue option, you will be given a Dragonwilds:KotHaar numbering for dummies scroll. Inspect the scroll in your Quest inventory.

Talk to the Bouncer again and select the option which says "Two triangles separated by a line?".

You will now be able to access the Cave of Screams. The bouncer will warn you that KotHaar-Zi has changed, and that their core must be forged into a new body, a new body which is controlled by Dragonwilds:Fuzan.

Reforged Zi

Upon entering the Cave of Screams, you'll immediately be met by two hostile Dragonwilds:KotHaar-Xil and a hostile Reforged Zi. Defeat all three enemies. After Reforged Zi is defeated, Dragonwilds:Zi Core will appear on the ground - grab it and then exit the cave.

Return to the Bouncer

Talk to the Bouncer. They will award you for assisting with Zi and reward you with the Dragonwilds:Plate of Pure Obsidian, which unlocks recipe for Dragonwilds:Obsidian Cape.
