Tips
* Dragonwilds:Knowledgable Nourishment – Increases the player's Experience gain in all Skills by 10%
* Dragonwilds:Foreman's Feast – Reduces the Dragonwilds:Stamina cost of Dragonwilds:Mining by 33%
* Dragonwilds:Focused Mining – Increases the experience gained when training the Mining skill by 15%
* Dragonwilds:Focused Mining II – Increases the experience gained when training the Mining skill by 30%
* Dragonwilds:Fleet-Footed Infusion – Reduces the Stamina cost of sprinting by 50%

* Damage: Due to the unique mechanics of Dragonwilds, the Unholy Symbol might be preferred over the Inspiring Ring of Mining when not using the Rocksplosion spell (more testing needed). Each ore from a node possesses a health pool, meaning that higher damage directly reduces the time required to deplete a node.
*Perks: Food perks do NOT stack. Eating another food after consuming a different one overrides its perk(s) with the most recent food eaten. Potions behave like this as well; drinking a new potion will immediately overwrite your active potion buff. While players cannot layer multiple foods or multiple potions, one potion + one food perks can be stacked together simultaneously.
* XP Per Swing: Mining experience is granted per successful pickaxe swing rather than upon completely depleting a node or receiving an ore.
* Respawning: Most ores respawn after 3 in-game days.
* Perks: Food perks do NOT stack. Eating another food after consuming a different one overrides its perk(s) with the most recent food eaten. Potions behave like this as well; drinking a new potion will immediately overwrite your active potion buff. While players cannot layer multiple foods or multiple potions, potion and food perks can be stacked together simultaneously.
* Divine Rock spell: Although it is a very useful spell in normal gameplay to gather ores quickly, it massively reduces the XP from mining.
Resources
Low-experience or highly hazardous mining locations, such as Blurite, Gold and Silver (more testing needed), have been omitted, as the risk to player safety outweighs the training efficiency.

Miscellaneous stones such as stone boulders and Dragonwilds:sandstone are also omitted here for training purposes, due to their low experience yields and/or sparse distribution.

Strategy
Example setup
* Players should always aim to use their best available pickaxe, food, potion and jewelry.

* While actively training Mining, players should cast Dragonwilds:Rocksplosion everytime it refreshes to rapidly clear nodes. Although the spell applies a slight experience penalty per action, the sheer volume and speed of cleared ores make it incredibly efficient.
General advices
* The Rocksplosion spell gets an upgrade at level 69, called Dragonwilds:Ultimate Burst, which increases its area of effect considerably.
While training Mining, players should generally follow regional progression and focus on gathering the highest-tier ore currently unlocked. However, upon reaching later regions like Dowdun Reach, a single region's mining nodes can be completely depleted, causing temporary downtime. To maintain efficient training when nodes are depleted, players should cycle back through previous regions and mine lower-tier nodes in descending order (e.g., Adamantite → Mithril → Coal). Cycling lower than Coal is generally not recommended (or even possible) as the drastically reduced experience rates diminish the efficiency.
* Mining is arguably the fastest and most straightforward skill in Dragonwilds right now, driven by good experience rates per action and the massive demand for resources required to upgrade gear and construct buildings. Solo players can easily reach a high Mining level naturally over the course of a standard playthrough.

* While not primary targets, Dragonwilds:Gypsum nodes could be integrated into a player's adamantite mining routes due to their somewhat high experience yields and close proximity to some of the core adamantite deposits.
Players should cast Dragonwilds:Rocksplosion every time it refreshes to rapidly clear nodes. Although the spell (seems to?) apply a slight experience penalty per action, the sheer volume and speed of cleared ores and stones make it incredibly efficient.

It is possible to bring both a damage-boosting trinket and an experience-boosting one and swap between the two. When casting Rocksplosion, it is prefered to wear the Inspiring Ring of Mining for a slight experience boost, as the spell guarantees to destroy all the ores in one-shot.

Mining in the desert requires careful preparation because the vast majority of node locations are swarming with high-level hostile mobs (Dragonwilds:KotHaar, Dragonwilds:Red Dragons, Dragonwilds:Wild Ruby Vines, Dragonwilds:Kalphites, and the inoffensive-looking Dragonwilds:Goats!) putting players under constant aggression. General advices

Once players unlock the massive desert of Dragonwilds:Umbral Sands, they gain access to Adamantite and Gypsum nodes. While these nodes offer the highest Mining Experience per ore in the game, extracting them is a high-risk endeavor located in highly dangerous areas.

Additionally, players must actively manage the environmental Scorching Heat mechanic to survive prolonged trips.

Because several Gypsum nodes spawn in close proximity to Adamantite nodes, the most efficient strategy is to focus primarily on Adamantite routes and harvest nearby Gypsum as a secondary bonus while in the area. Players should not go out of their way to solely mine Gypsum. Despite the high danger and environmental hazards, the experience yield makes mining in the desert well worth the effort.

The images on the left, right and bottom display the approximate ideal lodestone locations, estimated danger levels, and critical mining routes throughout the region.

Note that the Dragonwilds:Desert Robes can prove useful while skilling in the desert, though players should keep in mind that they offer very little defensive bonuses.

A good strategy for well-geared players is to clear the mobs along the critical paths first. Eliminating these threats makes mining smoother and prevents interruptions. While this requires strong combat gear, it allows players to mine nodes with far less interference.
