Mount

The magic carpet is the second mount unlocked during the game's progression, following the terrorbird. It is obtained by completing a specific portion of Dragonwilds:Icthlarin's Little Helper, the primary quest line for the Dragonwilds:Umbral Sands region.

Attributes

  • Allows hovering over hazards such as quicksand and water.
  • Offers increased jump height, especially when leaping from cliffs and obstacles.
  • Significantly increases velocity compared to base movement and other mounts while in the desert.
    • Movement speed is reduced outside of the desert.
  • Provides a massive reduction in fall damage.
  • Riding a magic carpet over quicksand also refills stamina while riding over it.
    • Following a quicksand path will allow you to ride at maximum speed the entire route.
  • Any damage taken by the player will immediately unsummon the mount.
  • Allows sprinting by pressing or holding [SHIFT].

Usage

  • Summoning: The mount can be summoned by holding [ALT].
  • Configuration: Players can customise and configure their mount settings by navigating to the Spells tab, accessed via [P].

Customisation

The magic carpet features many colour variants that can be unlocked through gameplay. See Dragonwilds:mounts for a complete list.
