Minecraft:Meerkat

Template:ShelvedTemplate:Infobox entityThe meerkat was a proposed mob that was featured in the Biome Chooser at Minecraft:MINECON Earth 2018, alongside the Minecraft:termite, Minecraft:ostrich, and Minecraft:fox. It was a mob that would spawn in deserts, and was confused for a cat by Minecraft:Tiny Jens.

It, along with the rest of the biome, lost the vote at only 15.2%.

Trivia

• Sprites of meerkats appeared as an easter egg in the Minecraft:2022 Mob Vote Event and the Minecraft:2023 Mob Vote Event server.
