Template:Stub Stagger is a Dragonwilds:combat mechanic where the Dragonwilds:player or Dragonwilds:monster stumbles and is unable to retaliate for some time.
Mechanics
Stagger affects enemies differently, with this brief stun lasting either longer or shorter. Some enemies are immune. An enemy can be staggered via:
- Dragonwilds:Abyssal whip's special action will stagger non-immune enemies
- A Dragonwilds:warhammer's special action will stagger non-immune enemies
- Dragonwilds:Parrying an enemy strike
When either the player or monster is staggered after being blocked by a parry, the incoming damage to the attacker is dealt 25% more damage.
The player can be staggered via:
- Blocking while Dragonwilds:stamina is depleted.
- Attempting to block an unblockable attack (without the use of Dragonwilds:Tempest Shield):
- Dragonwilds:Garou berserker "red attack"
- Dragonwilds:Vault guardian hulk's double slam attack
Monster damage
- Some boss-type enemies will become staggered upon reaching 50% HP. These include:
| Enemy | HP for stagger |
|---|---|
| Dragonwilds:Abyssal demon | 50% |
- Enemies take 0.5s after a stagger wears off to regain consciousness and aggression.
- During this recoup moment, the Melee Amour set bonus perk will not increase player damage.
