21w05b is the eighth Minecraft:snapshot for Minecraft:Java Edition 1.17, released on February 4, 2021,<ref>Template:Snap</ref> which makes changes to the copper and its other variants' names and fixes bugs.

Renamed "Copper Block" to "Block of Copper".
Removed the word "Block" from oxidized variants of blocks of copper, including waxed variants.
- The IDs have also been updated.
Renamed "Waxed Copper" to "Waxed Block of Copper".
- The ID has been changed from waxed_copper to waxed_copper_block.
