Template:Infobox effect Speed is a Minecraft:status effect that causes Minecraft:entities to move faster on foot, contrary to Minecraft:Slowness.
Effects
Speed increases an entity's speed while Minecraft:walking or Minecraft:sprinting by +20% multiplied by the effect level. For Minecraft:slimes and Minecraft:magma cubes, the effect causes them to jump farther. In Minecraft:Bedrock Edition higher levels of the speed effect increases the risk of crashes and/or freezes.
Speed expands an affected player's field of view (FOV).

Immune mobs
- Minecraft:Withers and Minecraft:ender dragons are immune to Speed.
- Flying mobs and Minecraft:shulkers are unaffected by Speed.<ref>Template:Bug</ref>
Notes
- Alternative methods of traveling more quickly include: Minecraft:sprinting; walking on Minecraft:ice, Minecraft:packed ice or Minecraft:blue ice; riding a Minecraft:horse, Minecraft:pig, or Minecraft:minecart; riding a Minecraft:boat on ice, packed ice, or blue ice; throwing Minecraft:ender pearls; walking on Minecraft:soul soil or Minecraft:soul sand while wearing Minecraft:Soul Speed boots; or swimming near a dolphin to gain Minecraft:Dolphin's Grace.
- At Speed 2 or above, sprinting without jumping is faster than sprint-jumping.
