Tutorial Cave
The Tutorial Cave was a cavern new players would find themselves in after starting the game. Many players suffered here, as it was possible to encounter Maronesa as the user's third-fought opponent if warnings were ignored.
In December 2015, Tutorial Cave was replaced with Anagoge Island.
South Serbule & Tutorial Cave 2
South Serbule (added March 2016, replaced August 28 2017) was a zone south of Serbule, and is similar to Serbule Hills which replaced it. Both maps share similar geographical features, although South Serbule had a single lake in the center of the zone. Fewer Ranalon were present, and a cave existed that reused the map from the previously removed Tutorial Cave. This cave held Tyler Green's lost shield. In August 2017, South Serbule became Serbule Hills.
Sonic Damage
In the June 26, 2019 patch, the damage type Sonic was removed from the game. Bard and Giant Bat abilities that dealt Sonic damage were retroactively changed to deal Nature damage instead, as were the Sonic attacks of the Sand Worm in War Cache D-4. Many mobs which were vulnerable or resistant to Sonic damage gained new vulnerabilities or resistances instead, such as skeletons, which became weak to Nature damage.
Ice Throwing Knives
In the March 3, 2020 patch, the items: Basic Ice Throwing Knife, Simple Ice Throwing Knife, Good Ice Throwing Knife, Amazing Ice Throwing Knife, Astounding Ice Throwing Knife, Master's Ice Throwing Knife, Expert's Ice Throwing Knife, and Superb Ice Throwing Knife were removed from the game. A piece of ice that can be thrown. (Used with the Knife combat skill.) This item will melt in warm or hot environments!
Hogan's Basement
Between the Alpha version of Eltibule and the November 10, 2020 update, Hogan's Basement was a smaller dungeon with only a few NPCs, a bookshelf, and an "Under Construction sign"
The basement of Hogan's Keep, located beneath Hogan's Keep, is home to a band of goblins who escaped slavery (note that in goblins customs, "slavery" means that they serve a war contract). Malvol is the leader of the band, he is an expert in Sword techniques. Gorvessa is his "wife" of sorts. She admits to serve as his "harem", but with enough favor she will reveal that she is a shield-basher at heart. The two other goblins, Ultashk and Gribburn, appear to be placeholders (as of the alpha).
