Summary
After finally reaching the dock of Arena Island, CommuniKate announces the audience and participants that the final challenges will take place there, lighting up six colorful beams of light. Durango wonders what treasures can be obtained as rewards, and CommuniKate answers by asking the participants to follow her inside the arena.
Inside, Quinn notices an obsidian box along the way and asks CommuniKate about it. The host answers that it's where eliminated team members are kept, with Quinn confirming she was keeping them prisoners. CommuniKate ironically denies the fact that they are prisoners, pretending to say they live in a 4-star hotel, while in fact all the people locked there are bored. Quinn then asks Kate about the iron golem guards, and she answers they are here so that no one can sneak in or out of the box. She also explains how solid the obsidian walls are by letting Zed demonstrate it with an iron pickaxe, trying to break it with no avail and throwing it away. After that, Toby tells Quinn that one actually needs a diamond pickaxe to efficiently break obsidian.
In the challenge hub, CommuniKate announces that Team Mesa is on the lead, but the game is still on, announcing the challenge will take place in the Desert Maze. There, both teams must find their way out to win. They also must flick a series of three levers in a specific pattern to open piston doors, as well as watch out from hostile mobs. To demonstrate that, Zed successfully opens a door and walks away, with a husk echoing his movements.
Quinn complains to herself about whether the maze or rescuing her friends is tougher, and hears a whisper saying that the rescue will be easier with teamwork. The whispering turns out to be Mo's, who came out of a hole. She gives Quinn a book with a chicken drawing on the cover she got from the farm. Quinn then tells Mo to tell her friends that she will "bust a mountain" before the latter re-enters her hole, sealing it.
Back to the challenge hub, CommuniKate explains that she scattered across the maze splash potions of Leaping, Slowness, Strength, Healing, and Swiftness to help the teams before she gives them the green light. Within Team Stone Beach, the members struggle to dodge the cluster of cacti, but manage to come out without injuries. Meanwhile, Team Mesa runs confidently among the cacti without approaching them, retrieving a splash potion of Healing along the way. After dodging the cacti, Durango finds and defeats a husk with his sword. Back to Team Stone Beach, Toby manages to retrieve a splash potion of Leaping sneakily, only for the husk to follow him a bit later. After reaching the gate, Toby struggles to turn the levers but then succeeds. Noticing the husk behind her teammate, Quinn tells him to duck, but he starts to think there are ducks in this maze, and she manages to save him at the right time.
The scene cuts back to Team Mesa, where Durango finds a gate and thinks the puzzle is "a piece of cake". When he failed the puzzle, he compares its toughness to that of the cake his mother used to make. River then intervenes and simply pulls a lever, opening a door and causing Durango's dismay. When she opens two other doors easily, her teammate gets even more annoyed by her luck overcoming his.
Back to Team Stone Beach, Quinn retrieves a splash potion of Harming and comes across a black widow spider crawling across a wall. CommuniKate explains this variant of spider being able to shoot webs, creating Minecraft:cobwebs on impact. As the spider shoots more, Quinn throws her splash potion on the spider, instantly killing it, much to CommuniKate and Zed's dismay. Later, Team Mesa encounters a horde of black widow spiders, and River throws a splash potion of Swiftness on the ground to help the team get out safely. Team Stone Beach then utilizes a splash potion of Leaping to jump over a patch of tall cacti. Then, Durango is seen instantly killing husks with the Strength effect on.
After defeating all the husks, Durango finds the exit but notices that, behind him, River is caught by a black widow spider's web and the spider is approaching her. Durango is set in a dilemma between winning or saving River from the spider. He then decides to kill the spider, freeing River and continuing their path. In an interview, Durango proves that he cheated, and his teammate deserved the win because of all the doors she opened. Team Mesa then realizes Team Stone Beach has already reached the exit and won. After asking for apologies from River, Durango realizes he is starting to become soft and a team player.
With Team Stone Beach taking the lead with 16 points, CommuniKate announces that the team winning the finale will take all the rewards. She presses a square of four buttons in a specific pattern to bring out her command block out of the ground so she can summon the "spoils". Durango insists that he be spoiled with the rewards, but Quinn tells him that it's better to spoil CommuniKate'show by overthrowing her.
As the show concludes, CommuniKate bids goodbye to the audience, accidentally pushing Zed of the edge of the pile of spoils. She then promotes the finale of the show that will take place.
