The Intergalactic Food Delivery career was introduced as an April Fool's joke by StarCitizen:Cloud Imperium Games in StarCitizen:2016. In addition to the career, a fake Big Benny variant of the StarCitizen:MISC StarCitizen:Reliant was advertised.<ref>Script error: No such module "Cite RSI".</ref>

The joke career was pitched having multiple components including:
