Template:Infobox block A pale moss block is a block that generates in Minecraft:pale gardens. Unlike regular Minecraft:moss blocks, pale moss blocks are flammable.
Obtaining
Breaking
Pale moss blocks can be mined using any tool or by hand, but a Minecraft:hoe is the quickest way to break it.
Natural generation
Pale moss blocks can be found on pale moss patches inside of Minecraft:pale gardens.
Trading
Minecraft:Wandering traders may sell 2 pale moss blocks for 1 Minecraft:emerald. Template:Trade sources
Mob loot
Template:IN, Minecraft:wandering traders have a chance of 8.5% (increased by 1% per level of Minecraft:Looting) to drop 2 pale moss blocks when killed while showing the item as trade offer, if the player holds an Minecraft:emerald.
Post-generation
When Minecraft:bone meal is Template:Control on a pale moss block, moss spreads to any of the blocks listed below, if they have Minecraft:air blocks above them, in a corner-less 7×11×7 volume centered on the original pale moss block. Foliage can replace air on any of these blocks.

When a pale moss block generates, it has a chance to have Minecraft:short grass, Minecraft:tall grass, or a Minecraft:pale moss carpet growing on it.

Usage
Most plants can be placed on pale moss except for Minecraft:cacti. Small dripleaves can be placed on pale moss, but only underwater. Minecraft:Big dripleaves cannot be placed on pale moss. Minecraft:Nether fungi can also be placed on it, while Minecraft:mushrooms can be placed only at light level 12 or below. Mushrooms placed on pale moss can be grown into Minecraft:huge mushrooms.
Unlike regular moss blocks, pale moss blocks cannot be used to increase the hatching speed of Minecraft:sniffer eggs.

Composting
Placing a pale moss block into a Minecraft:composter has a 65% chance of raising the compost level by 1.
Piston interactivity
Pale moss blocks are destroyed and dropped as items when pushed by Minecraft:pistons. They do not stick to Minecraft:sticky pistons, Minecraft:slime blocks, or Minecraft:honey blocks.
