Unlocking Arthropod Genetics requires completion of a series of tasks centered around the Povus region.

Step 1 - Obtain the Ghostly Letter

The first step of the process is to obtain a

Ghostly Letter

by defeating Tumak the Betrayer in Povus. He must be defeated between the in-game times of 9am and 10am.

Step 2 - Obtain the Ghostly Key

With the Ghostly Letter in-hand, visit the City of Povus nightly until Kimeta spawns. Kimeta's ghost will only appear under specific conditions.

It must be nighttime in Povus. She will not spawn before 8:00pm.
Ghosts must be spawning in the Sprawl district of the city.
The light outside her house must be off. If the light is turned on she will despawn.
If the light is not turned on, she will despawn at 1:15am.

The

Ghostly Letter

must be given to Kimeta. In return, she will bestow the

Ghostly Key

.

Step 3 - Questing for Gerrux

Gift the

Ghostly Key

to Gerrux as if giving an item for favor. Start the quest Kimeta's Key (Quest).

Find Errruka the Benefactor and ask about a lost key.
Wait one in-game day, then return to Errruka.
Obtain

Kimeta's Key
from Errruka by trading for either 25

Frog
or 1

Black Pearl
.
Return to Gerrux with

Kimeta's Key
to complete the quest.
Read the rewarded book
