The Tiburon is a large heavy gunship developed by StarCitizen:Aegis Dynamics. Building upon the well-known StarCitizen:Hammerhead design, the Tiburon introduces an enhanced configuration specifically tailored for engaging capital ships. Trivia
- In Spanish, the word tiburón is used to denote a shark, which is a type of large marine predator known for its sharp teeth and streamlined body.<ref>Wikipedia: Tiburon</ref>
- The comparison was quickly made (even by StarCitizen:Cloud Imperium developers), that this ship is like a "shark with laser beams". This is in reference to a recurring comedic element in the Austin Powers movies, where villain "Dr. Evil" repeatedly asks his staff he wants "sharks with friggin laser beams attached to their heads".
