"Magnetic Circuit", also known as "calm4", is a song by Minecraft:Markus Persson. The track is 3 minutes and 13 seconds long, consisting of an upbeat synth, battle-like tune. At 1:38, a slowed-down sample of Notch saying "Minecraft:Mojang Specifications" can be heard.

History

"Magnetic Circuit" was included in Minecraft:Mojang.com's music page in 2009, dated May 26, 2004.<ref name="Music page">Template:Cite</ref>

Notch included calm4.ogg in Minecraft:Java Edition Classic 0.0.22a when he used it to test the music system.<ref>Template:Cite</ref> It was removed an hour later because Notch thought "it was horrible and didn't fit at all."<ref name='IRC Logs'/>

It seems to have briefly been available from the minecraft.net resources from around December 16–17, 2010 and was removed sometime from December 22–27, 2010.

With the introduction of the new launcher, playing older versions with the track calm4.ogg does not allow the track to be heard, since music is downloaded separately from the jar files.Template:Dubious

On February 1, 2020, calm4.ogg was reuploaded by Notch to his SoundCloud page under the name "Magnetic Circuit" after he was questioned about it.<ref>Template:Tweet</ref>
