Minecraft:Java Edition Alpha v1.0.4

Alpha v1.0.4, also known as Seecret Friday 4, Template:Sic is the fourth Minecraft:seecret update and the second of Minecraft:Java Edition Alpha, released on July 9, 2010,<ref>Template:TWON</ref> which added Minecraft:winter mode, Minecraft:snowfall, and two new Minecraft:blocks. This is the oldest Alpha version to be available in the Minecraft:launcher.

• Slippery when stepped on.
• Generates when water is exposed to the sky on world generation.
• It can be melted by Minecraft:fire or Minecraft:lava.

• Spawns on top of most blocks when exposed to snowfall.
• Cannot be obtained yet.
• It can be melted by Minecraft:fire or Minecraft:lava.

World generation

Minecraft:Winter mode

• Added a new "Winter mode" map type, featuring:
  • Snowfall.
  • Blocks exposed to sky generate with a thin layer of Minecraft:snow and those exposed to snowfall slowly get covered by it.
  • Minecraft:Water exposed to snowfall generates as Minecraft:ice.
    • However, water found on gravel beaches is not entirely frozen upon generation.
  • Upon world creation there is a 25% chance for it to become a winter world.<ref>A winter world is defined by the boolean Minecraft:NBT SnowCovered=1 in level.dat.</ref>

• Snowy grass blocks appear when the grass blocks are under snow.

• As a result of ice's slipperiness, the physics of mobs have changed and jumps are now shorter.

3 bugs fixed

• Fixed a bug in the Minecraft:mob spawn code.
