A Very Useful Minecraft Tutorial is a short film that was shown at Minecraft:Minecraft LIVE – September 2025, parodying tutorials for Template:MC. The video is meant to be a farcical yet inspirational piece encouraging playing the game however desired instead of strictly following a guide.

Summary

The video starts with a view of a sunset with the narrator introducing the video. Makena, who the narrator is playing as, joins the world, visiting a desert village with a player-made house during the trip while the narrator says there is no right or wrong way to play Minecraft. Makena then gathers wood to make a wooden pickaxe and misplaces a stick. The narrator then get jumpscared by a camel and Jeb interrupts the tutorial by calling the narrator. The scene reveals the desktop and some windows such as the game window, a command window, and the CraftChat window with a call from Jeb. The narrator accepts the call from Jeb and returns to the game, continuing the tutorial while Jeb talks in the background. The narrator then decides to dig straight down to find some "mines" while Jeb tells the narrator not to dig straight down, but the narrator ends the call before he can finish. The narrator digs straight down, which leads to them falling into a trial chamber. A breeze then spawns and "attacks" the narrator with wind charges. The narrator pauses the game and searches "how to fight blue thingy with eyebrows?" on YouCube, a parody of YouTube. Then he scrolls down, watching various Minecraft related videos. The narrator closes the video and more videos begin to appear of various things, including one of TNT exploding, which deletes all of the videos. The video then concludes with the narrator opening the game once more and starting a new world.
