The Anvil F7A Hornet Mk II, introduced in StarCitizen:2944, is the United Empire of Earth Navy's current baseline space superiority fighter; heir to a century-and-longer tradition forged by the original StarCitizen:F7A Hornet Mk I. Hornets are primarily deployed on [[StarCitizen::Category:Fleet carriers|carriers]] and are used for a variety of missions including combat air patrol, interception, ground attack, reconnaissance in force, escort and strike operations.<ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref><ref>Template:Cite RSI</ref>

Originally only available to the StarCitizen:UEE Military, it has been made available to StarCitizen:Civilians through the StarCitizen:Civilian Defense Forces StarCitizen:Overdrive Initiative in StarCitizen:2954.<ref name="jp1102">Template:Cite Jump Point</ref>

Like the previous series before it, the Mk II Hornet has spawned a series of civilian adaptations.
