Agility is an upcoming skill that is scheduled to release in the 0.12.1 update set to come out in July 2026. It will be the first support skill of RuneScape: Dragonwilds and the game's twelfth skill overall.

This skill will allow players to build stamina, improve mobility, and navigate Ashenfall more efficiently through passive world benefits, active traversal mechanics, and skill spells.

Mechanics

Agility Courses

Across Ashenfall, players will find six Agility stations marked by flags. Interacting with a station initiates a course featuring a fixed trail of orbs to collect and a timed leaderboard. Courses can be run repeatedly to earn Agility XP, completion rewards, and course mastery.

Mastering an Agility course rewards a Gold Medal—a wall-mountable trophy displayed similarly to Pristine Fish from Dragonwilds:Fishing—as well as a gilded, trimmed variant of the region's cape.

Shortcuts

  • Dragonwilds:Kebbit Burrows – Tunnels scattered across the map that players can excavate to open up shortcuts across side routes.

Passive XP & Stamina

  • Foot Travel: Players will gain Agility XP passively simply by running on foot across the world. Passive XP generation is strictly disabled while riding mounts.
  • Stamina Reduction: Higher Agility levels will passively reduce the stamina cost of sprinting.

Environmental Traversal

  • Kebbit Shortcuts: Players will be able to dig up Kebbit Burrows on the map to open up side paths. Failing to navigate these safely at low Agility levels will inflict damage.
  • Fall Break: Higher levels will automatically trigger a roll when landing from high drops to reduce fall damage. Fatal drop heights will still cause death.

Spells

  • Dragonwilds:Windstep: Reclassified from Runecrafting to Agility. At higher levels, landing from Windstep creates an air blast that knocks down nearby enemies.
  • Dragonwilds:Recall: Leaves a runic marker on the ground; recasting teleports the player back to its location. If a player suffers a fatal fall while tethered, they are automatically teleported back safely and the tether is consumed.

Dragonwilds:Recall Spell Leaves a runic marker on the ground; recasting teleports you back to it. Taking a fatal fall while tethered teleports you back safely and consumes the tether.
99 Agility Skillcape Passive Unlocks the ability to craft and wear the Agility Skillcape and its trimmed variant.

Trivia

  • Unlike other skills in the game, Agility is the first skill that does not fit into combat, gathering, or Artisan type skills exclusively.
  • In the main RuneScape titles, Agility reduces the drain on run energy and gives the player access to higher-tiered shortcuts.
  • While originally meant to be coupled with the release of Scorned Wilderness, Jagex moved it up to July 2026 due to needing to rework movement mechanics.Template:CiteGeneral
    • This was announced on 15 May 2026.
